Route description
Among vineyards, agricultural fields, and predominantly viticultural villages north of Barbastro, along the banks of the Vero River, this enocycling route allows you to visit some of the most traditional wineries of the Somontano region, such as Fábregas, Blecua, Enate, Lalanne, Viñas de Vero, and Pirineos. The route starts at the iron bridge in Barbastro, but before beginning, you can take a 250-meter detour to visit Fábregas winery.
Upon arriving in Salas Bajas, the route briefly deviates to visit the famous Iron Forest by sculptor Vicente García Plana, a set of metal sculptures surrounded by vineyards near the Enate winery.
After visiting the winery, the route continues towards the village of Castillazuelo. where you can visit the River Vero Museum Center, the route stops at the Ras Valls winery. After this stop, it heads east towards Barbastro to visit the wineries Lalanne, Viñas del Vero, Pirineos, and Blecua, all located along the A-1232 road. At this point, extreme caution is required as this last section of the route is along this main road, and to visit the wineries, you must cross it transversely.
