About WebP and AVIF Formats
What is WebP?

What is AVIF?
AVIF (AV1 Image File Format) is a newer image format based on the AV1 video codec. It offers even better compression than WebP, typically reducing file sizes by 50% or more compared to JPEG while maintaining superior image quality. AVIF supports HDR, wide color gamuts, and advanced compression algorithms. Browser support is growing but not yet universal.
