To visit Otín is to enter the very heart of the Sierra de Guara.
Silence rules over the ruins of the houses of this uninhabited hamlet; however, it is still possible to much of the typical mountain architecture. Here, the walls and roofs are made solely of stone.
The settlement is divided into two neighbourhoods. At the top of a hill, covered by a dense grove of gall oaks, stand the ruins of the 17th century parish church with a single nave. A short distance from the parish church, a beautiful building still stands today, known as Casa Cosme Bellosta; its vaulted courtyard and large kitchen with a central hearth surrounded by the halls are particularly noteworthy.
Otín is one of the uninhabited villages that you will find on the Ruta El Real de Mascún.
