Itinerary
Estadilla - Fonz - Binéfar - Monzón - Barbastro - Estadilla
Route description
The path sets off from Estadilla, a small village situated in the far east of Somontano where after visiting the historical village centre full of mansions and the main square, we set off towards Fonz. Fonz has a collection of Renaissance monuments, amongst the most interesting in Aragón, full of palaces and monuments from this period. Passing through Azanuy, San Esteban de Litera and Binéfar, we continue towards Monzón, where it is highly recommended to visit its monumental Templar castle. From here the path makes its way through the south of Somontano to Barbastro, where one can stop to visit the town, its Cathedral and its museums. From here, in the final leg, we make our way back to Estadilla moving along the riverbanks of the Cinca river and a landscape dotted with fruit and olive trees, grain fields and vineyards.
