This shrine has a number of different parts including a house, patio, corral and porch, with the church taking up the main part building. Judging by the architectural elements, the current church was built between the 14th and 15th centuries and is made up of a nave, which opens into a number of small chapels that were added at a later date. The interior of the church is notable for the harmony of the proportions, the excellence of the stonework and for the understated elegance of the vault’s ribs and supports.
The beauty of the location has resulted in the traditional Easter pilgrimage becoming an authentic opportunity to enjoy nature at its best.
