Made from goat and sheep milk, in the Somontano there are three cheese workshops that gather traditional knowledge in this genuine product of the Sierra de Guara, being the village of Radiquero well known for having kept this activity since long ago.
A route through the Somontano should include a visit to the cheese factories, where you can learn about production process and taste the different varieties.

Pink Tomato of Barbastro

The tomato that tastes like tomato.
Pink Tomato from Barbastro is grown in a handcrafted way under suitable climatic conditions, which give it an unique flavour and texture.
It is characterized by its pinkish color, fine skin and an intense aroma, in addition to its important nutritional values.
It is considered one of the best tomatoes in the world and we have not doubt about it.
On Saturdays between July and October, you can find it in the Market Square of Barbastro, next to the rest of the gifts offered by vegetable gardens of Somontano.

Olive Oil

Olive Oil with character.
Ancestral and modern techniques give colour and flavour to the Somontano's dishes.
In this way, past and present come together, offering us an extra virgin olive oil, made from genuine varieties such as "alquezrana", "negral" or "verdeña", and others better known as "empeltre" or "blancal", that give colour, aroma , personality and flavour to our gastronomy.
Several oil mills offer guided tours to their establishments where you will be able to know about the process of obtaining oil and make tastings or samplings.

Somontano is a generous land that provides the right sun and necessary rainwater for growing the vineyard, what is an essential part of its landscape. Grapes and wines of Denomination of Origin are obtained from its wine plants, with an awesome personality that hides secrets and surprises, to learn, to travel, to taste, to discover and above all, to enjoy.
Live wine tourism through guided visits to the wineries and establishments of Somontano Wine Route, activities in the vineyard, wine tasting, pairing workshops between wine and other Somontano products, tasting courses...
And... Pay attention to our annual appointments!
On the first weekend of August, Somontano wine festival: Four days of proposals for wine tourism and the gastronomic exhibition at night. An outdoor space with 25 restaurants and 77 wine varieties and drinks, all with good live music.
We celebrate the Month of Wine Tourism in Somontano in November. Each year, nearly 30 different proposals of the Somontano Wine Route. Tasting tapas, dinner pairing, cultural tastings ... And on the second Sunday of November at the Market Square in Barbastro, we celebrate the European Wine Tourism Day.
