The chapel of San Joaquin stands in honour of the patron saint of the village on top of a small mound that dominates the village, the Clamor canyon, the canal and the village’s vegetable gardens. Given the simplicity of the exterior and the modesty of the materials used in its construction, it can be said that the main attraction of this Baroque church is the interior. The dome that covers the vestry is decorated with profane images of hunting scenes.

The triumphal arch that gives access to the vestry is decorated with polychromed stucco, as are the windows that provide light to the nave, framed by leaves and other vegetal motifs characteristic of the Baroque era.
