San Póliz or San Hipólito is a small uninhabited village located in the north, bordering the Sobrarbe region.

It is located on an elevation of land where there are two large houses, one of which is in ruins, and the other boasts a beautiful, vaulted ground floor and a bread oven. The parish church dates from the 17th or 18th century. Next to it, a tower and an old blacksmith’s shop are preserved.

This village, which belongs to the municipality of Bierge, is located on the sunny side of the Castildemoros mountain.

At the top of this mountain is the hermitage of Santa Quiteria, from which it is possible to look out over practically the entire southern slope of the Sierra y los Cañones de Guara Natural Park.

The village consists of two houses huddled together, attached to the church and its outbuildings. The complex is beautifully integrated into the Somontano landscape.

The tiny village of San Saturnino is located at the entrance to the valley.

Given its elevated position, perfectly oriented to the west, it is possible to admire one of the best panoramic views of the valley as well as the peaks of the Sierra de Guara, looking across to Cubillas and El Cabezo.

Just three houses and the church constitute this mountain village, but it offers plenty of interest. Little details that surprise the visitor, such as the sturdy fireplaces of the hearths, the lintels on the doors, and its inscriptions on the windows are just waiting to be discovered.
